This information of Norway includes the general state of the adoption of the Directive 2002/91/EC till now. It includes overview information for each article regarding the degree of implementation of the buildings’ Directive 2002/91/EC.

Article 5: New Buildings

Article 6: Existing Buildings

· Will be covered by national regulation
· All heated buildings over 50 m2, but with many exceptions as defined in Article 4
· Energy type covered will most probably net energy type, but certificate to contain information/assessment by energy supplier

· Law to be implemented in 2006 but may have a long transition period
Article 8: Inspection of boilers
· Inspection of boilers >100 kW, boilers below 100 kW to be subject of information, advice etc. (Opt. B). A decision has not yet been taken
· Inspections every 2 years for oil boilers, 4 years for gas boilers
o Data to be submitted to an EPBD database covering all relevant buildings
· Description of the One-off inspection scheme: Partly based on separate forms.
· Basis for the methodology: The owners’ documentation, data gathered by inspection and calculation of efficiency.
